We have 4 union looms that are setup and ready to weave a 24-26” wide rug in 4 distinct color patterns. We also have some looms available to weave table runners 12” wide

We have a wide range of materials you can use to weave. We have wool from our sheep, various colors of wool and cotton selvedges, denim and other fabric strips. Once you have chosen your main weaving material, you will choose a color or 8/4 cotton thread to use as a starter/binding. You are also welcome to bring your own material.

- You will start by weaving a binding to hold your primary material together. You will weave this for 1-2”. This will be made with 8/4 cotton thread.
- Next you will weave your main material. This could be 12” to 72”. It all depends on the material you choose and what you want your finished rug to be.
- You will finish your weaving the same you as you started. Keep track of your starting binding and repeat to finish off your weaving.

To keep all you weaving together you will need to tie off you fringe by tying 6 end strings together with an overhand knot.
